Stephen Tindall

Stephen Tindall creates jewelry that integrates authentic sea glass with sterling silver and other materials. Each necklace, bracelet, earring, anklet or ring is unique, with the design driven by the shape of the glass. Sea glass is also combined with vintage costume jewelry components to create "cobble chains."

Stephen relocated to Millville last year from Wilmington, where he had been selling his jewelry at various shows, the Blue Streak Gallery and the Bellefonte Arts Gallery. Stephen is largely self-taught built upon his study of jewelry making with Bryant Clark at the Delaware Art Museum.

All of the sea glass used by Stephen is surf tumbled and beach picked. It is not colored, polished, or altered. Initially Stephen found the glass he used, but nowadays he buys 90% of his glass from select sellers around the world – though he still combs the beach regularly.

Stephen's background includes financing affordable housing, nonprofit fundraising, and a tour of Vietnam with the US Army.

Stephen vacationed in Sussex County his whole life and has wonderful experiences to recall like selling tickets at Funland and working as a beach boy.
